NAVBO’s newly formed Public Affairs Committee is seeking volunteers! If you are interested in public policy and advocacy, we invite you to consider applying.  Founding members will serve from September 1, 2026 through December 31, 2027, with the potential to continue on a yearly basis.

The mission of this committee is to monitor and identify new or emerging federal policies that affect scientists and inform the NAVBO membership regarding relevant issues. In addition, the committee will make appropriate recommendations to the NAVBO Council and membership on action items regarding these policies. The committee will also compile resources and make these available on our website. The scope of this committee will extend to public policy that affects basic science research infrastructure and/or research that affects a substantial portion of the vascular biology community.

Please note - Membership in a committee is limited to active NAVBO members.
